Car makes a boat horn noise?

My car is a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus with 190,000 miles! It's old and has wear-n-tear, but I have taken GREAT care of it. It always gets oil changes periodically, it gets consistent check-ups and fluid re-fills. Everything runs perfectly, except for the past year it has been making a boat horn noise (like the kind you hear when a boat leaves the harbor) haha I know it's strange, but that's the best example I can come up with! It isn't as loud as a boat horn, but more like a stomach gurgling noise? It comes from the engine, and only makes the noise when I am stopped at a light or stopped in traffic---and it seems to be more frequent during colder months. Any explanation? thanks!

could it be more of a grinding noise or Whine? Check your power steering fluid or could be a bearing or alternator? A easy way to find out is get a long piece of metal like a long long screw driver and put it on the parts and put your ear to it.You can tell by how loud it is.They also make a stethoscope like a doctor uses on your chest but it has a rod on the end.

I have a ford F150 and have the same trouble. I don't know what it is.
