can anybody tell me how to get from Canal or the French quarter to Frenchman street in New Orleans???

If nobody here answers your question, you might post it at www.tripadvisor.com. Those people are super helpful and friendly--somebody will probably draw you a map. I've been to New Orleans several times, but unfortunately I was always in too much of a booze haze to know where ANYTHING was.

You can go to Yahoo Maps or Google Earth, type in New Orleans and study a street map for yourself.
