Thanks for the history lesson! It won't penetrate through the liberal mindset, sadly.

Why would Russia use the Panama Canal during WW2? Their fight was to the east in Germany.

Carter was an ineffective president but not the worse. Mr. Reagan is in my top three and soon to be passed by the moron that has been president for the last eight years. Fox news is not a dependable source for factual information. The Panama Canal is something you have to get over. It is not our country and the right thing was done.

The Panama Canal you may have noticed is in Panama, an independent country.

Who do you think you are to say that it should belong to the U.S. in perpetuity?!?

Your facts are wrong. Reagan was the United States worst president ever. He didn't foresee the longterm effects on society of "free market" shipping of all US jobs overseas, and his "warped, frustrated old man" union killing. Yet we have to deal with that... service economy, in which we are all clerks selling Chinese goods to each other; no durable goods manufacturing being done in the US; no job protection; the death of company pension plans... the list goes on.

Reagan created the present vast US underclass that shops Walmart and Dollar Tree. Read the enlightened truth, and weep.
