Default Does this sound like I might need a root canal?

About 2 years ago I got my two front teeth almost knocked out. One of them started turning grey and I got a root canal done on it. The other tooth seamed fine. Now two years later I notice anytime I drink something hot the tooth that didn't get the root canal feels a numb pain. The thing that confuses me though is that I sometimes feel that numb pain on my lower front teeth that never got hit. The pain is more frequent on the top tooth though and I feel it about 2-3 times a month (more frequent in the winter). The tooth has not turned grey or anything but I am a little worried. What are your takes on it? Has anyone had the same thing happen to them?

Hot sensitivity is usually a sign of nerve/pulp damage. Sometimes pain in the mouth can be referred to other teeth, making it hard to determine exactly which tooth is bothering you. You should definitely have your dentist look at it.
